Many beginning collectors have asked the question, what variety of Lugers would be the most interesting to collect? I would answer by suggesting one of my personal favorites: the Lugers made for, and in, Switzerland.

The first Lugers, made in 1900, were made for Switzerland. The Swiss were still making Lugers in 1946. The large number of Swiss variations, as well as the unique and interesting accessories related to those variations, will keep any Swiss Luger collector interested and busy searching to fill empty slots in their collections for a long time.

So, if you are looking for a Luger variation or type to collect, I recommend the Swiss!
