MAUSER 1941 BANNER POLICE 9mm Luger; 96% blue, very good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Stamped on top of the toggle with the Mauser Banner and on top of the chamber with the date 1941. A Police sear safety is installed. The right side of the receiver is stamped with an eagle/L Police proof. The left side of the receiver is stamped with an eagle/N proof and another is located on the left side of the breechbolt. GELADEN marked extractor and GESICHERT marked safety area. All matching including both magazines, one stamped with a number 1 and the other with a number 2 along with the full serial number. The grips are not numbered, both have an eagle/655 proof. The original blue finish show fairly light edge and high point holstering wear, with some thinning finish on the right side of the barrel with minor spotting. There is some very minor spotting around the top edge of the right toggle housing. The grips show some handling with a minor ding and compression or two. Mechanically fine, the bore has sharp rifling with a bit of frosting along the grooves. Rig, includes a Police style black leather holster marked on the back OTTO SINDEL/BERLIN/1940 over a Police proof. A faint non-matching serial number is stamped on the back of the holster as well. The holster is in good intact condition and has been re-dyed at some point. Also includes an original takedown tool which has a illegible mark. MAUSER BANNER POLICE 1939 9 mm; 90% blue, excellent bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, This is an example of an early 1939 Police contract pistol with the Police inspector mark eagle/K "Krause" on the right side of the receiver. Marked on top of the toggle with the small Mauser banner with 5-lines and the date 1939 appears on top of the chamber. The commercial crown/U proof appears on the left side of the receiver, left side of the breechbolt and on the end of the front sight block. The Police sear safety is installed on top of the sideplate. "GELADEN" marked extractor and "GESICHERT" marked safety area. Original blue finish and fitted with checkered walnut grips. The pistol has all matching serial numbers on the parts that should be numbered including the grips. The Police issue blue finish extruded body magazine with pinned aluminum base is not matching, marked on the bottom of the base 1/661/y. The finish shows sharp edge and some high area holster wear, with scattered minor handling scratches. The front and back grip strap finish has thinned to a blue/gray patina.
