30 Luger; 94% blue, 70% straw, good bore, good grips, 4.75'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and matching number checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching and proper. Complete with the proper unmarked bright sheet steel magazine with wood bottom. The top of the toggle is stamped with the DWM logo and the top of the chamber is roll stamped with the American Eagle motif. The blue metal finish remains bright, showing light sharp edge and some high point holstering wear. There is some dull finish around the muzzle and some spotting in the finish on the left side frame. The straw finish on the small parts is uniform. The grips show some light wear to the points on the checkering and a few smal compressions. 30 Luger; 92% blue, 50% straw, excellent bore, very good grips, 4.75'' barrel, Early 1900 Eagle with original blue finish, strawed small parts and matching number checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo and on top of the chamber with the American Eagle motif. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small Swiss cross proof, interesting because the pistol evidently was destined for Switzerland, but was stamped with the American eagle and diverted to the U.S. for commercial sale. Complete with an original unmarked wood bottom magazine. GERMANY export marked across the front of the frame. Condition: The metal finish shows sharp edge and some high point holster wear. There are areas of fried storage grease in the protected areas, inside and out. The straw finish is weakening on the safety and takedown levers. Unmarked original wood bottom magazine. Wide trigger guard. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM monogram. The American Eagle motif appears across the top of the chamber. "GERMANY" export marked across the front of the frame. The metal is clean showing edge and high point holster wear, with slight thinning on the grip frame straps and grip safety. 30 Luger; 85% blue, 60% straw, very good bore, very good grips, 4.75'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and matching number fine checkered walnut grips. All numbered parts are matching. The magazine is a proper variation wood bottom magazine which is stamped along the tail of the base GERMANY. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM monogram. The American Eagle motif is roll stamped over the top of the chamber. The country of origin export marking "GERMANY" is stamped across the front of the frame. A previous owners name and a date are lightly scratched on the right side of the frame above the grip panel "I.P. Feiser 1907". The original blue finish remains lustrous, showing sharp edge wear and scattered minor surface spotting. There is some minor-light pitting on the left side of the barrel nearer the muzzle. Most of the finish loss is on the grip frame straps which have worn to mostly gray. The magazine body has some minor pin-prick pitting with loss of the plated finish. Numbered parts are matching, the takedown lever properly marked with the last two digits of the serial on the side, and no "GERMANY" export marking. Sheet steel variation magazine with wood bottom. American Eagle motif roll stamped on top of the chamber. Small flaming bomb mark on the inside of the frame and bottom of the reciever near the lug. Wide trigger guard, checkered thumb safety, narrow grip safety. A very clean high condition example which would be hard to improve upon for over all with very light high point holster and handling wear. There are a few small handling scratches on the front grip frame strap. There were two deliveries of U.S. Test pistols totaling about 1000 pistols, the serial number range for test Eagles is listed as 1900-7500 (approximate). The grip panels have some handling marks as well. The back grip frame strap has a filled hole, slightly off center, just above the area where the top of a stock lug would be.
