30 Luger; 94% blue, 70% straw, good bore, good grips, 4.75'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and matching number checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching and proper. Complete with the proper unmarked bright sheet steel magazine with wood bottom. The top of the toggle is stamped with the DWM logo and the top of the chamber is roll stamped with the American Eagle motif. The blue metal finish remains bright, showing light sharp edge and some high point holstering wear. There is some dull finish around the muzzle and some spotting in the finish on the left side frame. The straw finish on the small parts is uniform. The grips show some light wear to the points on the checkering and a few smal compressions. 30 Luger; 92% blue, 50% straw, excellent bore, very good grips, 4.75'' barrel, Early 1900 Eagle with original blue finish, strawed small parts and matching number checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo and on top of the chamber with the American Eagle motif. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small Swiss cross proof, interesting because the pistol evidently was destined for Switzerland, but was stamped with the American eagle and diverted to the U.S. for commercial sale. Complete with an original unmarked wood bottom magazine. GERMANY export marked across the front of the frame. Condition: The metal finish shows sharp edge and some high point holster wear. There are areas of fried storage grease in the protected areas, inside and out. The straw finish is weakening on the safety and takedown levers. The metal finish shows light sharp edge wear over all, there is some spotting and minor pitting along the edges of the left sideframe and sideplate and right side frame rail and around the toggle housing. Thinning finish on the grip frame straps. The right grip panel has an area of compression, the left grip panel has a chip of wood missing under the safety lever. Mechanically fine and clean internally. The bore has strong rifling, showing frost and soome light pitting throughout. Included is a nice vintage full flap leather holster that consignor notes state has been with the gun for two generations. The holster has a brass stud flap closure, single belt loop on the back. Numbered parts are matching, the takedown lever properly marked with the last two digits of the serial on the side, and no "GERMANY" export marking. Sheet steel variation magazine with wood bottom. American Eagle motif roll stamped on top of the chamber. Small flaming bomb mark on the inside of the frame and bottom of the reciever near the lug. Wide trigger guard, checkered thumb safety, narrow grip safety. A very clean high condition example which would be hard to improve upon for over all with very light high point holster and handling wear. There are a few small handling scratches on the front grip frame strap. There were two deliveries of U.S. Test pistols totaling about 1000 pistols, the serial number range for test Eagles is listed as 1900-7500 (approximate). Complete with an original wood bottom magazine which is not marked. Condition: The metal finish shows sharp edge wear overall and a few minor handling marks. The grip panels have some handling marks as well. The back grip frame strap has a filled hole, slightly off center, just above the area where the top of a stock lug would be. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and fitted with Ideal grip plates which have had the original checkered walnut grips fitted, replacing the Ideal smooth walnut grip panels. Complete with an original Ideal stock/holster. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM monogram and on top of the chamber with the American Ealge motiof. The safety area on the left side of the toggle housing is left "in the white" and the extractor is marked LOADED. The export mark GERMANY is stamped across the front of the frame. The stock is marked on both sides of the metal housing PATENTS PENDING. Condition: Overall good. The metal finish shows edge and high point holster wear with some thinning on the grip frame straps. The straw color is fading on most of the small parts and there is some dark spotting mainly on the safety and takedown levers. There is also some surface rusting on the grip straps and right side of the toggle housing. The grips show some wear to the points on the checkering and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing somewhat heavy frost in the grooves. The Ideal stock is complete, with thinning of the original bright blue finish and surface rusting and spotting on most of the metal surfaces.
