Fine tune leaf mis-matched to the barrel. The receiver is 1916 dated with original Imperial proofs and military acceptance mark on the right side. No number on the left side, and is notched on top for the artillery sight. Timing mark is off on the barrel/receiver. Fine tune front and rear sights. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo and on top of the chamber with the date 1915. Standard Imperial proofs and military acceptance marks. The metal finish shows wear and areas of thinning. The metal surface has some minor spotting with light pitting on both sides of the barrel muzzle, right side rail and frame above the grip and on the front and rear grip straps. There is an area of heavier pitting on the left side of the toggle housing. The grips show wear with smoothed but well defined checkering. Rig, includes an original wooden shoulder stock which is not matching to the gun, with an Imperial proof on the left side. The stock has worn finish with spotting on the attaching iron and locking lever. Attached to the stock with original leather straps is an original leather holster in fair condition, no legible date. The holster has a repaired lifting strap and a torn end on the flap upstrap. The shoulder strap has a repair and the cup is missing the small keeper strap on the bottom. Condition: Near mint. The metal finish shows very minor sharp edge wear mainly only on the frame and sideplate hump, with some minor "ring" marks on the front grip frame strap.Teh trigger appears to not have been heated. The metal finish shows sharp edge wear and fairly light high point holster wear. There is some minor spotting on the left side of the muzzle ring. The straw color on the small parts is generous and uniform. The grips show minor wear with sharp checkering. The stock is very good with an Imperial proof on the left side. The attaching iron has thinning original blue finish. The locking lever has some dark spotting. The leather straps are very good, intact with no repairs, showing expected age wear. The holster is very good, intact, showing expected age wear as well with some surface cracking and a large scuff on the lower front tip. The holster is maker marked HANS DEUTER/1917/AUGSBERG and includes an original unmarked takedown tool and cleaning rod. Mechanically fine. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching. GERMANY export marked on the front of the frame and on the left side of the barrel under the rear sight. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo. Commercial crown/N proofs on the bottom of the barrel, left side of the receiver and left side of the breechbolt. Both grip panels have the Pacific Arms Corporation medallions inlayed near the top. Complete with the proper wood bottom magazine which is stamped 'Cal 9m/m' on the bottom. The metal finish show minor sharp edge wear and the grips show minor handling. Mechanically fine. 9mm Luger; 50% blue, 20% straw, very good bore, good grips, 7 7/8'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. 1936 dated Artillery with fixed front and tangent adjustable rear sight marked for 1000 thru 8000 meteres. Stamped on top of the toggle with the Mauser 5-line banner and on top of the chamber with the date 1936. Crown/U proofs appear on the left side of the receiver and breechbolt and on the end of the front side base. The front of the frame is importer marked “Odin Alex VA”. Four Thai characters are on the back of the frame, just above the lanyard loop. All numbered parts are matching except the magazine and rear sight leaf. The toggle pin and grip panels are not numbered. Complete with a proper vartiation magazine having a blued sheet steel body and aluminum base numbered 3506v+ with a droop eagle/63 proof. From the collection of Joseph J. Schroeder, Jr. Condition: Most Mauser Banner Artilleries were imported from Asia where they saw hard use. This one is no exception. Most of the blue finish has turned dull, showing edge and high point wear, areas of thinning and some light surface spotting. There is a small area of pitting on the bottom of the barrel. Very little straw remains on the takedown lever and safety. About 20% of the original straw remains on the trigger, magazine release button, and ejector. Dark original grips with sharp checkering, showing some light handling marks. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing some darkness along the grooves. 9mm Luger; 75% blue, very good bore, fair grips, 8'' barrel, Mauser produced artillery model LP08 Luger pistol for a Siamese contract. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching except the rear sight leaf. The magazine is original and matching. Stamped on the top of the toggle with a 5-line Mauser banner logo and on top of the chamber with the date 1936. Oberndorf crown/U proofs appear on the left side of the receiver and breechbolt and on the end of the front sight base. The back of the frame is marked with the Siamese lions head proof and Bangkok Police property number 258 in Thai. Light Odin import markings appear on the bottom of the frame in front of the trigger guard, this company acquired and imported the majority of the Siamese Lugers from Thailand. Included with the pistol is an original walnut shoulder stock which is not matching to the gun, numbered 3474 on the left side. This pistol is featured in the book "The Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols" by Joachim Gortz and Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess on page 562, and is from Dr. Sturgess's collection. Condition: Overall Good, the metal finish is turning dull as is common on these due to the climate in which they saw service, with edge and high point wear and light sruface spotting overall. There are scattered areas of pitting on the barrel and an area of pitting on the right side of the frame above the grip panel. The straw color has mostly faded from the small parts with some dark spotting. The grip are worn, the left panel having a small chip missing under the safety lever and the right panel needs attention as it will not remain in place. Mechanically fine, the bore has shine and farily sharp rifling, showing some light corrosion throughout. The stock is in overall good condition, having small dings and scratches overall and surface spotting on the attaching iron and lever. A small piece of strap leather remains on the left side. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. Matching except the proper magazine (numbered in Persian numerals 3268) and sideplate. Oberndorf crown/U proofs. Persian crest over the chamber. Thinning finish on the grip frame straps. There are a few light handling scratches on the left side frame and frame rails and some edge wear. No import markings. Includes an original walnut board shoulder stock which is non-matching, numbered in Persian numerals 3330. The stock is in very good condition, retaining most the the original blue finish on the attaching iron and straw on the locking lever.
