All matching except the magazine, which is numbered 5474 along the back of the base and with the Navy crown/M proof on the front of the base. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo. The left side of the receiver and bottom of the barrel have the Navy crown/M proofs. The back grip strap is unit marked under the grip safety to a torpedo destroyer group II.T.D./1695. The metal finish shows sharp edge and some high point holstering wear, with thinning finish on the grip straps. There is some scattered minor spotting overall. The grips show some handling. Matching numbers except the magazine, which is Navy proofed and numbered 4424. Unit marked on the back grip strap I.T.D./374 (1st Torpedo Division, gun number 374). The DWM logo is stamped on top of the toggle. Navy proofs appear on the barrel, left side of the receiver and left side of the breechbolt. A small rework mark appears on the left side of the frame under the takedown lever, crown/R.C. The metal finish has turned dull and shows some wear with light spotting overall. The metal finish shows wear and thinning overall with some minor spotting. The right side of the muzzle ring has some very minor pitting. The straw on the small parts has mostly worn away. | DWM 1916 NAVY 9mm Luger; 96% blue, 92% straw, very good bore, good grips, 6'' barrel, This is a Fake Navy, but very well done. Restored blue finish on the barrel and receiver, original finish 1916 frame, professionally re-strawed small parts and fitted with original checkered walnut grips. New barrel and rear toggle. The numbered parts are matching, however the barrel, toggle and magazine have been re-numbered or numbers added to match. The toggle pin is the improper narrow flange type. The reciever has had the Army Imperial proofs removed from the right side, with the non-original Navy proofs applied to the barrel, left side of the receiver and breechbolt. The left side of the toggle housing inside the safety area is stamped "GERMANY". The metal finish shows some high point wear and minor sharp edge wear. The stock lug has most of the finish worn off. The grips show some handling and light compressions. Mechanically fine, the bore is bright and clean showing a bit of wear to the rifling. | DWM COMMERCIAL NAVY 30 LUGER; 92% blue, 60% straw, very good bore, good grips, 5 7/8'' barrel, This is an example of a Navy variation Luger pistol which was assembled from surplus and some new parts for commercial sale after WWI by DWM. Original bue finish and strawed small parts and fitted with original checkered walnut grips. All the numbered parts are matching except the grips and magazine. The top of the toggle is marked "DWM" and the top of the chamber has been scrubbed of original markings with a hand stamped 7.65 applied. The right side rail and right side of the barrel extension are stamped "GERMANY". A crown/N proof is stamped on the left side of the barrel extension with small crown/N proofs stamped on the bottom of the barrel, left side rail, another on the left side of the barrel extension and on the left side of the breechbolt. The sideplate and takedown lever are stamped with the last two matching digits in commercial style on the bottoms. The rear sight is a quality reproduction Navy sight marked for 100 and 200 meters. The finish shows some wear to the sharp edges and sideplate, with some scattered areas of minor spotting. There is some thinning finish on the grip straps. The grips show some light wear with slight smoothing of the points on the checkering. Complete with an original Navy magazine, marked on the bottom of the wood base with the crown/M and is serial numbered 4489. The left side of the base has a small chip.
