US M1842 PERCUSSION PISTOL; 54 cal; good bore, good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Manufactured by H.Aston in 1852. Very minor pitting scattered mostly around muzzle area on barrel. Brass furniture. Wood is cracked at grip area from rear brass tang forward. Wod appears to have been sanded long ago, removing any markings. Action works well. Nipple is a probable replacement. WN inspector initials on barrel.,   |
