| REMINGTON MODEL 141 GAMEMASTER 35 Rem; 97% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 24'' barrel, Introduced in 1936, manufacture ending in 1950, this is a tube fed pump action rifle in a caliber which has had a renewed following, with orignal blued finish and walnut pistol grip stock and ribbed forend. Takedown design with elevation adjustable rear sight and a ramped front sight with silver bead. Marked on the left side of the barrel "REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y., MADE IN U.S.A." over the patent numbers, followed with the caliber designation ".35 REM". The left side of the receiver retains the distinctive cartridge base inset, and is marked "THE/GAMEMASTER/REG. U.S. PAT. OFF./MODEL 141" and "REMINGTON/REG. U.S. PAT. OFF./37639". The metal finish shows a few minor handling scratches and very minor sharp edge and cycling wear. The stock has a few scattered minor dings and is fitted with the original checkered steel buttplate. Stamped on top of the heavy ocatgon barrel "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y.". The serial number is stamped across thend of the trigger guard tang. The left side of the frame is stamped with patent dates 1863-1873 in six lines. The barrel is fitted with a fixed front and a buckhorn style rear sights. The barrel and frame have turned an even patina overall. The wood has small dings overall. The forend has a metal tip. The bottom of the forend has an old chip of wood missing at the joint with the frame. Mechanically fine, the action is excellent. The bore is bright and sharp.
