30 Gauge; fair bore, fair stock, 33'' barrel, Manufactured in Japan circa 1930. Single shot bolt action shotgun based on the Murata type action, these guns were produced by Kawaguchiya Firearms Company, using both newly manufactured actions and some surplus actions. The gun metal finish has turned to an even patina. The barrel is fitted with a fixed blade front sight and a fixed rear sight with a fine U notch. The gun is mounted in a slender dark walnut stock with a checkered straight grip. The stock has repaired cracks on the left side below the action and on the right side back corner of the receiver. There is an old crack on the right side of the forend tip, and a small probably bone forend tip is missing. The upper sling swivel is also missing. These unique shotguns are seldom seen in any condition. Mechanically fine, however the extractor which rides in a groove on the inside left of the receiver is missing. The bore is dark with some roughness throughout. Includes some printed copies of information from the Nambu World website. C&R/FFL,
