44 Cal; poor bore, 7.5'' barrel, Consignor notes state that this revolver was dug up in a field in Virginia in 1959, and was given to the consignors father. The father was a gunsmith and he made the loading lever and grips to replace the missing parts in 1960. The guns action was frozen and loosened, though it is not in working condition. The only visible markings are the serial numbers on the left side of the frame under the cylinder and on the bottom of the barrel, also a small letter P which is located on the right side of the barrel near the frame, indicating probable US Government contract. The barrel, cylinder, frame and grip frame are pitted. Antique., s/n 37xx
