9mm Luger; 97% blue, 80% straw, Good bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, This pistol is in a range of serial numbers 3001v-3450v which fall into a so called Latvian contract, which have a rather interesting story behind them: See the excellent book The Mauser Parabellum 1930-1946 by Don R. Hallock and Joop Van de Kant, page 521-526. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. All matching including the magazine. The grips are not numbered, however one panel has a number written in heavy black ink which does not match the gun. Stamped on top of the toggle with an 8-line Mauser banner logo and on top of the chamber with the date 1936. German commercial crown/U proofs appear on the end of the front sight base and left side of the receiver and breechbolt. Condition: The metal finish shows minor sharp edge and light high point holstering wear. The straw color on the small parts is uniform and the toggle pins, sear spring and grip screws retain good original bright fire blue finish. The grips show light handling, the left panel having a couplle small areas of compression to the checkering. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing some light frost and pitting.
