9mm Luger; 92% blue, 30% straw, excellent bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, This rare pistol was part of a second contract in 1937 for the Portuguese Navy consisting of about 50 guns, serial number ranging 4301v-4350v. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. The numbered parts are matching including the magazine. The grips are not numbered. Stamped on top of the toggle with a 5-line Mauser banner logo. German commercial crown/U proofs are located on the end of the front sight base and left side of the receiver and breechbolt. The safety area on the left side of the toggle housing is marked SEGURANCA and the extractor is marked CARREGADA. Condition: The emtal finish shows edge and some high point holstering wear. The grip frame straps have turned patina, and there is light surface spotting overall. The straw color on the small parts is beginning to darken. The grips show some wear and compression to the checkering. Mechanically fine. The bore is clean and sharp. C&R/FFL, s/n 43xxv, Catalog Number B-18
