22 Long Rifle; poor bore, poor stock, 24.25'' barrel, Manufacture unknown but likely Belgian circa 1880s. Heavy octagon barrel with fixed sights. Mounted in a walnut stock with raised side flats and a checkered round knob grip. The metal has turned rust patina with minor pitting overall. The stock shows wear and handling with a crack on the right side of the forend with a piece of wood missing along the tip of the forend. This crack is old with two brass bands nailed into place to help stabilize. A screw is missing from the trigger guard tang. The action is working. The bore is rough. Antique.,
