BERLIN LUBECKER MACHINEFABRIK
Extremely rare emergency half moon cylinder drum LN9615 used for storage of the Model 34 signal pistol and various signal flares. Signal pistol produced by Berlin Lubecker, alloy construction with original blackened finish and checkered black plastic grips. Eagle/241 proofs, code marked and dated on the left side of the frame "237/1940". Excellent over all condition with scattered handling marks and rubs. Mechanically fine. The LN9615 can is Luftwaffe marked on the silver front label and retains the original field grey/green paint finish. The seal has been broken on the can lid and the internal removeable aluminum color coded containers for the various flares and accessories remain inside. No flares or accessories are included. These cans were issued to most all branches of service, the ones issued to the Luftwaffe were carried inside the aircraft and would be removed in the case of forced landing. A leather shoulder strap is attached to the back of the can, which has torn from one mount. The can has several dents, dings and scratches but retains generous finish and the silver label remains at approximately 90%. The serial numbers do not match on the can and pistol.
