9mm Luger; 50% blue, 10% straw, very good bore, fair grips, 4'' barrel, 4 inch 9m/m caliber barrel stamped "A" (Ausschuss-scrap or reject). "Ub" (Ubungswaffe, German for training/practice weapon) on top of the receiver over the date 1939. Stamped "byf" on center toggle link. Numbered parts on the gun have matching numbers except the front toggle link which is internally numbered. "A" and "Ub" markings appear on the left grip. Magazine is eagle/63 proofed millitary and not matching. This gun is featured on page 453 in the book "Borchardt & Luger Automatic Pistols" by Joachim Gortz and Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess. From the collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess. Worn metal finish with scattered light spotting. Small chip of wood missing on the left grip under the safety lever. Mechanically functioning.
