32 WCF; fair bore, fair stock, 24'' barrel, Manufactured in 1909. Worn and thinned original blue finish, casehardened frame, plain walnut stock with crescent butt. Half round, half octagon barrel with silver blade fixed front sight, buckhorn style elevation adjustable rear sight. Full magazine tube. Top of barrel flat is stamped in two lines with the Winchester address and King's Improvement patent markings. Oval proofs on top of barrel and frame. Caliber marking on top of barrel and on bottom of brass cartridge elevator. Upper tang markings "MODEL 1873/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK". Previous owners initials lightly carved on the right side of the butt. The dust cover appears original, has no serrations at the sides on the rear. The metal is mostly patina with some dark rust spotting, minor pitting along the edges of the frame and frame sideplates. The forend is cracked the full length along the bottom, glued repaired. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, dull with frost and pitting throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 6253xxB
