U.S. WW2 DRESS COAT AND TROUSERS
U.S. Army wool dress coat and wool serge trousers. Coat has no labels. Button fly trousers label dated 1945, size 36x31, in excellent condition. The coat has a pin back US collar disc and a screw back medical collar disc. Gold gilt Eagle buttons. GHQ reserve shoulder patch. Inside the pockets are some personal papers of the GI, a private Joseph Stukel of Berwyn IL. The papers are dated 1943, and notes the date of enlistment as Nov. 18, 1942. Also a cloth drawstring bag which contains Private Stuckel's dog tags, extra buttons and a piece of piping, another front pocket contained a rosary bead necklace. The coat is in excellent condition. All buttons and the coat and trousers are intact. Also included is a 16 x 16 inch silk pillow case with gold rope bordering and embroidered from "New Station Hospital St. Devens Mass.".
