Originally a holster for the Reichsrevolver's in use by Germany before the adoption of the 1908 Luger pistols. Converted for issue with the P.08, the pouch on the front for revolver ammunition removed, belt loops relocated, extra magazine pouch added along the leading edge, flap attached with small pouch for a takedown tool and internal lifting strap added. Ink stamped under the flap "2 Fs A R" (2nd Foot Artillery Regt.). Brass stud closures for the magazine and takedown tool pouches. Buckle closure for the flap with downstrap. The small leather cap at the tip of the holster is missing. Otherwise the holster is complete and intact, in over all good condition. From the collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess.,
