38 Special; 85% blue, excellent bore, very good grips, 6.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1932. Original blue finish, non-matching serial number checkered walnut diamond grips. Original patridge fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Matching number cylinder and barrel. Casehardened grooved trigger and checkered hammer with visible patent marking. 5-screw frame, pinned barrel. Grooved front and rear grip frame straps. Stamped on top of the barrel with the two line S&W address and patent dates 1906, 1909 and 1914. Factory gold two piece box marked for but not numbered to the gun. Used, the metal finish shows edge wear with a definite turn line on the cylinder. There is a tiny spot of minor pitting on the right side of the frame at the upper edge near the hammer, and a small spot on pitting on the right side end of the hammer spur. Grips are a poor fit at the butt of the frame. Mechanically fine. The box is in good condition. C&R/FFL, s/n 404xx
