9mm Luger; 50% blue, 10% straw, fair bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, This pistol has unusual markings which indicate the possibility of the gun being a Berlin Spandau rework, the top of the chamber hand stamped above the date B S. Much like the Berlin Spandau reworked GEW 98 rifles of the period. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. Matching except the grips and magazine. The magazine is a sheet steel variation with wood bottom, numbered along the tail of the base 2338. The right grip panel is mis-matched, the left panel is not numbered. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo and on top of the chamber with the date 1913 with B S stamped above it as mentioned. The right side of the receiver is stamped with Imperial proofs and a military acceptance mark. The top of the barrel and left side of the breechbolt are stamped with military acceptance marks as well. The bottom of the barrel is stamped with the matching number and bore size as usual, however above the serial number is stamped Bo. The side of the takedown lever is stamped with crown/RC and crown/B proofs also. The metal finish shows wear and areas of thinning and light spotting. There is some pitting on the metal around the borders with the grip panels. The grips show wear and handling. Mechanically fine, the bore shows wear and darkness in the grooves.
