9mm Luger; 85% blue, very good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Ordnance parts rework for issue probably late in WW2 when firearms were hastily being refurbished and assembled, some for issue to the volkssturm. Refurbished finish and rebarreled. Original rework blue finish, some strawed small parts and matching number checkered walnut grips. Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM logo and on top of the chamber with the date 1918. Matching except for the magazine and the un-numbered barrel. The serial number originally stamped on the left side of the receiver has been removed and the Imperial proofs and millitary acceptance markings have been removed from the right side of the receiver, a crown/italic B proof stamped in that area. The barrel is stamped on the left side with an eagle/135 Mauser proof. Remnants of the Imperial period military acceptance mark remain on the left side of the breechbolt. The metal finish shows some edge and high point holster carry wear. The frame has surface spotting overall but mainly on the left side of the gun and on the grip straps. The sideplate and left side frame have some pitting, with an area on the left side of the toggle housing having some pitting as well. There is remnants of black paint on the left side of the frame also. The trigger and takedown lever were strawed parts however the straw color has faded from both. The grips show some wear and handling, the checkering remains well defined. Mechanically the trigger lever needs replaced as it will not fire the gun. The bore is sharp and clean except near the muzzle where there is some surface rust. C&R/FFL, s/n 92xxf, Catalog Number D-146
