32 RF; fair bore, good grips, 3'' barrel, Manufactured circa 1860s. A single shot deringer type pistol, the barrel swings out to the right for loading, and this example has the automatic ejector. Marked on the left side of the octagon barrel "ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCHESTER MASS.". The barrel appears to have been shortened long ago to length with a bead front sight installed. The originally blue metal has turned a gray spotting patina. The walnut grips show age and wear, the left panel has a chip missing at the top front and a small chip on the bottom at the pin. Mechanically fine. Antique., s/n 3xx
