16 Ga/8x57JR; 60% blue, very good bore, fair stock, 23 9/16'' barrel, Manufactured in Germany, dated February 1961. Original blue finish barrels with double claw mounts, casehardened frame and mounted in checkered walnut. 2 3/4 inch shotgun chambers with Full and Modified chokes. Features a Greener sytle crossbolt and side safety, extractors, top mounted cocking indicators, front set double triggers, latch release forearm and a full grip stock with cheekrest. 14.25 inch LOP with the original buttplate fitted. The gun has mounted a Haus der Jager 6X scope with a heavy pointer/crosshair reticle. The optics are a bit cloudy. The finish on the barrels shows wear and thinning overall. The side of the left barrel is engraved "WAFFEN FRANKONIA WURZBURG". The frame shows traces of fading case color in the protected areas, with some scattered lgiht spotting. The wood shows wear to the points on the checkering, the checkering on the forearm showing more wear, with light dings and scuffs. There is a crack behind the upper tang. The butt of the stock shows evidence of a slip over pad having been installed. Mechanically fine with tight lockup. The shotgun bores are smooth and bright. The rifle bore shows some wear and frosting. C&R/FFL, s/n 2291xx
